Well. I don’t think any of us expected him to say that. That looks like it might be the end for North? I mean, I don’t think Nolen and Mariel will be content to just shrug and walk it off, but it doesn’t look too great for him.

Finally, at long last, we find Venetronus Jase Allgood! And he’s still doing the breathing and living thing! Hooray! Don’t know how to tell you how great it feels to finally get to this page. I’ve been waiting for this since the beginning of the chapter (hell, even since he first appeared in the prologue). Also, Mariel breaking out a bit of the magic there is also pretty exciting, since this story’s been light on the magical side of being a Venetronus so far.

For those of you celebrating this week, Happy Thanksgiving. This marks the time where I have to bust my butt for the holiday season. Sneak attack! I think at this point, Mariel and Nolen should have expected North to lunge at them, but this is out of their area (even for the magic detectives they kinda are). I’m sure they’ll get their footing back before North can recover from whatever happened to him at the end here. We’ll see exactly what that is next week! (In my favorite page so far!)

Other AE-news, I have been toying around with the idea for character ask Wednesdays on the comic blog. Basically, readers could send me a question for any of the characters in the comic, and they’d answer in a one panel quick comic. I wanted something extra to tide you all over until the next page. That said, I’m really only going to do this if there is some genuine interest, so please let me know if you’d be interested! Drop me an email, or send me an ask via the comic’s tumblr!

We’re fast approaching the time for holiday shenanigans, and I’ve got something planned for everyone here. It’s just a matter of working out when I need to have it done by. Stay tuned for more specifics on that soon.

Heeeey, welcome back, everyone! Right on target with early November, huh? We’re back just in time for the big reveal! Poor McCloy, though, it really did not go well for him. I’m so excited for the next few pages because tons of stuff happens!

Now, since I’m on a new tablet, the next few pages might look a little different as I get used to it (it has twice the pressure sensitivity as my old one! Woo!). I’m also refining what I do all the time, so things will just shift a bit naturally.

Later than I had planned, but we are back! Whoo! Thank you everyone for your patience while my life was rearranged. Everything is a lot stabler and better now, so I can get back to comic-ing with gusto!

There’s a mystery afoot here, and Mariel and Nolen are back at it. Of course, everything our new buddy Walter is saying just cause more questions than answers.
