What’s an exile? You’ll find out in greater detail later on, and next week you’ll see Jase’s exile bootlegger in the flesh. Does kinda sound like someone who got kicked out of the Order, though, doesn’t it?

The next scene is turning out to be the most time intensive I’ve had thus far in the comic, but I think it’s turning out really well. I’m excited for you all to see it as we hit the halfway point in the chapter!

Things are really happening now, eh? I’m sure Mariel’s not digging being interrupted, though, Nolen.

I’m looking forward to a few pages from now when we not just switch to a new place, but introduce some new characters that’ll be pretty important in this arc.

Anyway, things are pretty busy right now as we prepare for MegaCon in October. It’s the first time I’ve had more than a month to prepare, so we’re really getting on top of things now. New prints, re-order previous stuff, assemble a Volume 1 book, all that good stuff. I’ll keep you all updated with how that goes, and when it’s close to con time I’ll let you know where we’ll be tabled.

New characters! Hooray! First Venetronus Kiera Winter is not just the head of Adise Sanctuary, but is for all intents and purposes, the highest ranking Venetronus in the Order. She’ll be in at least another scene coming up in this chapter, so I’m looking forward to that.

Welcome to Chapter 3, everyone! Thanks for joining me. This is my favorite chapter so far, so I’m pretty excited to be able to share it. New characters! New locations! Same Nolen! I’m constantly experimenting, trying to find the right kind of color palettes (in the future I will definitely have to go back and fix lighting in Chapter 2 so it won’t be so dark in print). I feel like I got pretty close to what I was thinking of for this first page, though, so I’m happy. If you dig the comic, please tell your friends and spread the word! This is a “more the merrier” sort of situation.
