I think it’s pretty safe to say that things didn’t end up going Reed’s way, and it’s very likely they won’t for McCloy either. This is why snooping around creepy old houses is never a good idea, even when you’re the Chief.

Things are really picking up now, though, and that’s pretty exciting! Also, AE’s anniversary is fast approaching, so get ready for something extra as a thank you for staying with me for the past year.

Page 40! We’re about halfway through this story! And we’re learning Reed was all about his dream journal, while McCloy contemplates just walking on in.

Reed’s journal panels were an experiment for me, going for more of a watercolor and sepia toned look. It’s not exactly what I wanted, but it gives me ideas for the future.

The plot genuinely thickens, and McCloy is one step closer to colliding with the rest of it! I’m excited to get to the next few pages and all the goings on that will happen then.

Aw, look who’s back and better than ever! Good old Chief Gideon McCloy. It’s about time he came back into the story. What exactly he’s doing we’ll see pretty soon.

In other news, I took most of this week off for mental health/new Dragon Age game came out and I needed to play it. Mental health is better but damn I didn’t even put a dent into the game, I think. I’ll just have to juggle everything from now on.

Chief McCloy’s got enough awareness to realize he might not fare as well against something weird as Mariel and Nolen would, but dammit, you kids keep outta regular trouble! I’d recommend McCloy go a little easy on the coffee, it isn’t doing him any favors.

In semi-personal comic related news, this week has been epic in how crappy I’ve felt, so I didn’t get the pages done that I’d like to. There’ll be no hiccups with regular updates here as they have been, though there’ll be no extra pages for a while longer.

Also! Page 6 has been updated, and hopefully is now typo free. And I slightly tweaked the dialogue balloons, for personal preference, really.

He may be grumpy and dislike out-of-towners, but McCloy’s at least shedding some light on things.

My techniques changed a little bit with this page, mainly in the addition of dry brushing and altering my coloring slightly. Overall I feel it worked out much better.

Funny tidbit about this page: originally in the first panel I had drawn it completely reversed, with McCloy walking around the other side of the desk (the side closest to the windows). Annoyed with myself, I decided to redraw it correctly. Really, that kind of mess up in continuity would have bugged the hell out of me forever so it was worth the time.
