I tried an entirely different process for coloring this page. I wasn’t that enthused with the results, so the upcoming pages are more of me adapting the technique closer to what makes me happy.

This Wednesday is my birthday! It always sneaks up on me now. Stealth birthdays. Anyway, my birthday wish is just that you come back next week for more of the thrilling conclusion! And maybe tell your friends about this neat comic you like?

At last, Jase is reunited with his very best friend. Martinson would love to be reunited with his best friends (his boats) but they’s all pretty much been smashed to bitty pieces.

60 pages! That means there’s only 10 left in this story and chapter. I do believe that counts as the homestretch! It’s all very exciting.

This entire last scene has been really interesting for me to make. At this point, none of the pages are the results of my original thumbnails, and the scene was cut down by around 15 pages, I think. This, in the end, I consider a good thing; while I need to do more work to layout these pages, there is better pacing and clarity. It’s also a testament to how much I’ve learned just on this first arc. I’m really looking forward to how much more I’ll learn along the way.
